Logo Design for my site. Give me some feed back if you like it.

Now word about my brother or my niece, which bothers me... My wife has a new job at Sprint PCS, and this means cell phones for my family. So, I'll be able to call all over creation to find him very soon.

Search Continues

Checked all of the Safe List on MSNBC - no luck there - Red Cross has no list for him either...

Where is my Displaced Brother??

New Art Forum

My new art forum as the other is down, will probably only be down till Tuesday...I like it better than this one, so will probably dump this one when the other is back online...
This planet was inspired by my youngest daughter and I wanted to show it off...created of course with The Gimp.

Wonderous Worlds

Working on my art really keeps me sane, and I'm enjoying doing spacescapes, as they are my escape from reality.

I have learned a few tricks with the Gimp (the program I use for all of my 'digital art'. I am working on several 'concepts' for my spacescapes, really want to do a comet that looks 'real' and I'm also working some ideas for a better 'sun' and better stars for my 'backdrop'...

Working on a Fairy pic also, this is 'handdrawn' style but totally digitally done, will look 'airbrushed' when I am done...(probably two weeks or so)..

Anyway, no updates on the locations of my displaced family members, I hope to hear something soon.

Sad Days in America

I've kept up on the news about the victoms of the latest hurricane, and I see that we as a country really are still not prepared for anything.
The events of 9/11, the hurricane that wiped out Homestead, FL, the 4 major hurricanes last year, it seems as though this country would have a better disaster releif system in place. But what we seem to have is disorganization, misinformation, and people suffering from it.
Someone please explain to me how we can have 100k troops in Iraq inside of 48hours but cannot have food, water, and basic humanitarian needs moved into an area of our own country.
I don't care what the event, 48 hours should be the absolute maximum response needed to have EVERY survivor cared for in some way or another. No excuses, this has been unacceptable response for New Orleans in particular, but all of the South Eastern US.
I hold onto to two thoughts today.
1. My brother' house in under 12' of water.
2. My brother is missing... I'm quite sure he evacuated but due to missing his phone call I don't know which relatives home he is staying at.
Other concerns:
My neice lived in Biloxi, MS and I have no immediate information about her home or family, her mother lives in SC so I would assume she is there, but not for certian.

Needless to say Stress is the word of the day.

Two Worlds

Two Worlds, my World, their World...

My brother is now being refered to as a 'refugee', so is my niece.
Bentley Lovelace, the artist behind 'Designs by Bentley' with his wife Michele and daughter Mehgan, are long time residents of New Orleans... I have no doubt that they evacuated the area, however, I have not heard from them since the hurricane made landfall.
My neice, Charlotte Derby, with Husband Danny, and their children had lived in Biloxi, MS...and we've all seen the news, Biloxi, MS was devastated... I have no doubt that they evacuated, However, I don't know where they went to evacuate, as the family is spread all over...
Enjoy the art, Pray for the victoms, and hope that New Orleans has some since of order restored soon....the gun toting gang members, and wanton looting gives the rest of the citizens a bad name.

More Soon.
